3. Children's Personal Information
Dream Story Co. collects limited personal information about children (including first name, age, interests, and birth day and month) solely for the purpose of writing personalised bedtime stories. This information is provided by the parent or guardian account holder.
We do not collect children's surnames, full birth dates, photographs, school information, or location data. We do not allow children to create accounts or interact directly with our service. All accounts are held by the parent or guardian.
We do not use children's personal information for any purpose other than creating their personalised stories.
4. Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties
We may disclose personal information to the following third party service providers who assist us in operating our service:
Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com). Your payment information is processed and stored securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
MailerLite — email delivery service (mailerlite.com). Your email address and name are stored in MailerLite to deliver your weekly stories and service communications.
MailerSend — transactional email delivery for weekly story emails (mailersend.com). Your email address is used to deliver your personalised weekly story. MailerSend is based in Lithuania.
OpenAI — AI story generation (openai.com). Your child's profile information (first name, age, interests) is sent to OpenAI's API to assist in generating personalised story parameters. OpenAI is based in the United States.
Anthropic — AI story writing (anthropic.com). Your child's profile information is sent to Anthropic's API to write personalised stories. Anthropic is based in the United States.
Google — data storage via Google Sheets and Google Workspace (google.com). Subscriber profile data is stored securely in Google Sheets.
Make.com — workflow automation (make.com). Make.com processes data between our systems to automate story generation and delivery.
We take reasonable steps to ensure these third parties protect your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles. Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. By using our service, you consent to this transfer.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or your child's personal information for marketing purposes.
5. Data Storage and Security
We store subscriber information securely in Google Sheets, accessible only to authorised Dream Story Co. personnel. We use industry-standard security practices to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.
Despite our efforts, no data transmission over the internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or from our Site.
6. Access and Correction
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you or your child at any time by emailing hello@dreamstoryco.com.au. We will respond within 14 days.
If you believe any information we hold is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, please contact us and we will correct it promptly.
7. Data Deletion
You may request deletion of all personal information associated with your account and your child at any time by emailing hello@dreamstoryco.com.au with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." We will confirm deletion within 14 days.
Please note that deleting your data will result in cancellation of your Dream Story Co. subscription.
